1.     If you are a journalism & mass communication college student then possibly there would be a studio in your college. Use that studio as much you can. Go and try to take part in the activity and never miss the chance of ppt work and anchoring. Practice more presentation work. This will build your confidence. You will become popular in your college. And if any company comes to your college for campus selection then due to your popularity and active performance they maybe hire you. And this will be a fine opportunity to open the door of your success and you will have a bright future.

 

2.     If you want to become a news anchor then you are supposed to be active. You should be confident. And you should have a good voice. You are needed to pronounce each word and sentence properly. Don’t take your journalism & mass communication course study of your college life in lite.

 

3.     Do your beginning of news anchoring career from small channels. These days so many YouTube channels are preparing their news bulletins; you can also join them. You don't need to start directly from anchoring. You can enter from different fields like content writing, content editor, content reviewer, video editing, news gathering, news reporting, event management, public relations, advertising, news bulletin, scriptwriting, corporate communication, etc. fields. Once you entered even in the small YouTube news broadcasting channel from any different field also then you can have a chance of news anchoring.

 

4.     If you are failed to practice as well during your college time then you have a second option and that is “internship”. Do an internship in a company or a small channel. Take the internship seriously and try to learn more. Focus more on anchoring along with other activities. If you want to become a news anchor then it does not mean that you have to focus only on anchoring and leave other things. Along with anchoring, you are supposed to learn other things also. Because if you become an anchor then you will do anchoring maximum for two hours. In a big channel, an anchor works for eight hours in which he/she comes on the screen maximum for two hours in one or two programs. During other times he does different activities like preparing bulletins, news editing, news script writing, etc. So learn and practice everything and try to gain as much as you can.

 

5.     The other way to come into anchoring is accidental. If you entered a news channel from a different field. And you have made an image and you have made a big impression of good communication and the way you talk. Then accidentally you can become a news anchor if the anchor is absent and there is need of an immediate anchor. In this situation, your name can come up because of your impressive behavior. If you performed well then they can keep you as a permanent anchor. This way you can become an accidental news anchor.

 

6.     Never miss a chance to express yourself. Be ready and well prepared for an opportunity to represent you as an anchor. For this, you should make your own YouTube channel, prepare your content, practice well to speak in front of the mirror first, and camera second. Prepare your good video where you are anchoring like a real anchor. If you are going for an interview then you must show your video where you can be seen as an anchor. Using this you have many benefits like; you will gain confidence, you will be able to express and represent boldly, and you can immediately get the job.
