The current Covid-19 pandemic is not hidden from anyone in this world. Not only India rather the entire world is facing this pandemic. As we know this virus spreads from the touch of one infected person to another. This pandemic condition is very challenging for this world. All countries are in search of a permanent anti-dot and relevant medicine to overcome this viral disease. Everyone is trying to be alert and take precautions to prevent the chances of spreading this virus.

AI (Artificial intelligence) is also not behind in this race. AI is playing a vital role to control the spread of this virus. As it is clear from the word ‘Artificial’ means which is not human work rather it is manmade device work. It is the intelligence of humans in form of machines, devices, robots, and applications; in short, “artificial service”. This artificial intelligence is working in different forms to control this challenging pandemic.

Some forms of AI to control the spreading pandemic

Aarogya Setu app- Aarogya Setu app is the best example of AI (Artificial Intelligence). This app helps to keep people updated and aware. This helps us by indicating the exposure time and distance a person was with a Covid-19 positive patient. This app helps to determine us that we are safe from this pandemic or not. If we have any symptoms of Covid-19 then this app will alert us. This app also informs the same to the controlling department of this pandemic and within 24 hours we receive a phone call from them regarding a Covid-19 test.

Robot services in hospitals- Robot service is another best example of AI. If we stay in the hospital in the care of doctors and nurses then there would be more chances that doctors may be infected. For the safety of doctors; robot services are very helpful. If the patient needs anything in the hospital then in place of the doctor, the robot would be available. The robot can’t be infected and safely he will give the required things to the patient. The chances of infection will be less because the robots are controlled by computerized applications.

This is how AI is playing a very good role in controlling the spread of the pandemic. In this, we need to be honest with these applications and robots. We need to give the right information to this artificial intelligence; because they are machines, not humans. Humans can see reality and catch our lies but machines can’t. So, if we will give the right information to AI, only then they can function properly. Otherwise, it would be difficult for us to overcome this situation.
